July 5, 2012 [Part 1/2: Montana’s at the airport with @ninoangel]

We went to the airport because Nino had to get his ticket to go to Toronto~ And we just decided to go eat there hehehe. We got a seat beside the window and that was super cool. And they serve their water in jars =D

We had some yummy appetizer although I don’t remember what it was. It was cheesey and delicious and served with sour cream. Anything served with sour cream is delicious - pizza, perogies, french fries. The fattier the better, no?

I got their Goat Cheese Penne (broccoli, peppers, red onion and mushrooms tossed with penne in a goat cheese, tomato and roasted red pepper sauce). Nino had some maple salmon.. his was way better than mine although I do love me my goat cheese.

May 10, 2012 [The Airport!]

So I went to the airport with a friend just for funsies. We picked up some of that neat and delicious cinnamon popcorn. It was actually so good!!! I got it from the gluten free market in front of T&T in the northwest.
The frappuccino however, was definitely not what I expected. It was a lot more bitter than chocolatey but I still hear people complaining that it’s too sweet. I don’t get it >_>

Speaking of airports, I’m at the Vancouver airport right now waiting for my flight to Hawaii~ Ohh so exciting~

November 25, 2011 [Part 2/2: The Airport]

Went to the airport with Lyke at 10 or 11. We drove around for a good 40 minutes because we kept missing the short term parking LOL. Anyhow, the airport is really nice at this time because it’s super dead. We had some Timmys before leaving p:

The airport is a really nice place for some realtalk.

I really wanted dimsum but apparently, they stop serving dimsum at 11 or something and we got there at 3ish.
This restaurant is split into two places inside. On the left, there’s the real restaurant and on the right side, it’s kind of like a cafe style place. We got seated on the left side.
Note that if you have a preference of restaurant vs. cafe, you have to tell them so they can seat you in the right place.

I have no idea what we ordered to here are the pictures of what we ate

okay that last picture is hot almost milk with egg whites. It tasted different from all the other almond milk I’ve had before because it was a little less sweet but it still tasted pretty good. I don’t know how to feel about the egg whites though.. Maybe that’s why it didn’t taste the same? Not sure but i still prefer the pearls.

A couple of friends and I went to Applebees because we were bored.

I wasn’t too hungry so I got a mango iced tea. It was pretty yummy but it came in a relatively large cup so I couldn’t finish it all.. but I still liked it.

I also got a strawberry cheesecake dessert shooter. On the bottom were graham cracker crumbs, the middle is some bits of cheesecake and some bits of strawberry syrup and actual strawberries and it was topped with canned whipped cream. Canned. Whipped. Cream. CANNED WHIPPED CREAM HAS TO LEAVE MY LIFE IMMEDIATELY.
Honestly, it wasn’t that great, the cheesecake was goopey and the strawberries were mushy and the syrup didn’t mix with the cheesecake. The graham cracker crumbs didn’t even stick to anything, so when I was done eating the cheesecake part, there were just crumbs on the bottom and that was no fun to eat..
On the other hand, my friends got these cute itty bitty hamburgers and regular sized fries. I would have enjoyed looking at this dish better if the fries were small like the burgers..

Tea Time with my mumsy.

I got watermelon mango bubbletea and my mom got the osmanthus green milk tea [with pearls].
Mine was okay.. even those those two fruits are the ones I like the best, they don’t taste any better together. And my mom didn’t really like her drink because of the lavender. Myeeehh.

My dish - vegetable fried rice:

mom’s dish - crispy fried chicken and some kind of sauce:

Tea Time.. again..
A friend and I just felt like getting out of the house so we just walked around. We stopped by Macs before going to eat and he bought me a chocolate bar. Those mini sticks from Kinder.. I don’t remember what it’s called but I got it because it had stickers of super heroes in it. I’m a sucker for marketing. I got a sticker of the flash and I put it on my guitar case.

ANYHOW. Tea Time..
I had green tea lavender iced milk tea with pearls
It tastes REALLY good! I tried it because it sounded neat but I really didn’t expect them to put real lavender in it. I didn’t even know you could eat it, I thought it was just there to smell nice and be pretty. Yay for multifunctionality~ Chewing the lavender is pretty fun too..

I also got some of whatever this is. On the menu, they labelled it as “Ice Cream Pearl & Flabor Topping”. Emphasis on the cute fobby typo. Anyhow, you get a choice of mango, red bean, strawberry or red bean topping and I chose mango. This dish is basically ice cream topped with shaved ice and mango syrup served on a bed of black pearls. nothing too fancy or creative but I really enjoyed it. The ice cream melted into something nice and creamy and I didn’t like that over time, the pearls would get really hard because of the coldness of the ice cream and the ice. It was still fun to eat though and it reminds me a lot of halo halo [a filipino dessert with various desserty foods, shaved ice and thick cream].
